January Blues

Hi!

Happy belated new year! I can't believe it's 2014!

It's been a while since I posted anything; college has gotten on top of me and with mocks and deadlines approaching, I barely had time to sleep let alone blog! But one of my new years resolutions is to really try with my blog; it's been something I've wanted to do for ages, and I'm not quitting now!

The weather has been vile recently, which meant lots of jeans and jumpers- not very interesting OOTDs! But one thing did slightly brighten my mood during the January blues was of course, THE SALES. I am a sucker for a good deal and I absolutely love the feeling of sale shopping. I can't say that I was overly impressed as a whole with what the shops had to offer, but I did pick up a few nice bits.

One shop I've recently become obsessed with is Pull and Bear. One opened up in Brighton and I just had to check it out- for research purposes obviously! And I must say I was super impressed! I love the casual, slightly urban feel that the shop brings, along with their great prices. I ended up buying two jumpers for £25, although there were a lot of items I would have loved too!
A couple of weeks later I decided to browse their website and see if their sale was still on and to my luck, it was. I couldn't resist and ended up with three more items; two skirts and a cardigan- all for £30! I think Pull and Bear is definitely going to become one of my regular high street shops now as I'm in love with their gorgeous clothes and affordable prices.

A few days ago, I wore one of the skirts I ordered; a grey body con skirt. I usually don't go for anything body con as I always feel self concious and uncomfortable, so I was a little apprehensive when I ordered it, but when it came, I tried it on and was pleasantly surprised! It's super comfy and flattering and will look great with a cropped jumper or top or something tucked in. As it was a cold day, I went for the latter.

I teamed the skirt with a khaki coloured jumper from H&M. I felt like the muted tones really complimented each other (and also sadly matched the not so bright weather!). I also wore my favourite Topshop Boyfriend coat and a pair of Topshop boots, finishing off the outfit with tights and a chunky necklace from River Island.

I'm determined to get my blog up and running this year, so expect more from me in the coming months!

See you soon (hopefully!),
